Remote Bookkeeper Contractor Jobs in Georgia

We add remote bookkeeper contractors a few at a time, and Georgia applicants are welcome.

How it works

Bookkeeping work from Georgia

Contractors keep small business books current each month: categorizing, reconciling accounts and producing reports in QuickBooks Online, Xero or the client's own software. We are a young firm and take a limited number of contractors, so we do not promise a volume of work. We do not have an office in Georgia, and the work is done online. The larger cities in Georgia that our pages cover include Atlanta, Savannah.

If you live near Atlanta or elsewhere in Georgia, you can work from home; finance, insurance, technology, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, film and tourism are among the sectors in the state.

What you need

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero or similar software
  • Comfort with monthly reconciliations and clear client communication
  • A computer, a reliable internet connection and a private place to work
  • Willingness to keep client information confidential
  • A W-9 and a signed independent contractor agreement
  • Familiarity with Georgia filings is a plus, not a requirement

What it pays

Pay and terms

Rates are discussed on a short call and confirmed in writing before you take on any client. We do not have a posted rate. This is independent contractor work with a 1099 at year end, and you choose what you accept.

This page is not legal advice. Honest note: we are a young company, and we keep the team small so the contractors who join early get the work as it grows.

FAQ

Georgia bookkeeper contractor questions

Do I need a certification?

No certification is required. List any you hold, and we weigh them with your experience.

What Georgia filings come up?

The Georgia Department of Revenue sets sales tax returns monthly for most taxpayers, due the 20th of the month after the reporting period, and a return is still required in a month with no sales. We confirm the rate for your location and your schedule on your own Georgia Tax Center account. Familiarity helps, and we confirm the details for each client.

Is there work right now?

We cannot promise any. We add contractors a few at a time as clients come in, and we would rather say that plainly.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. We never charge to apply or to join.
