How it works
How it works
Deadhead percentage is empty miles divided by total miles (loaded plus empty). Revenue per loaded mile is the pay divided by loaded miles, while revenue per total mile divides the same pay by every mile you drove for the load. A load with a high rate per loaded mile can still be poor per total mile if you had to drive far to pick it up. Enter your cost per total mile to see profit on the load.
