Free Excel templates for small business
Overview
11 working spreadsheets with formulas built in. Download one, delete the example rows and start. They open in Excel and in Google Sheets.
Invoice template
One clean page you can print or save as a PDF. Type your lines, and the due date, subtotal, tax and balance work themselves out.
Mileage log template
Log each business trip as it happens. Miles add up by month and by year, and the deduction is estimated at the IRS standard rate.
1099 contractor tracker template
Keep every contractor, every payment and every W-9 in one place, so January is a check, not a hunt.
Monthly close checklist
Twenty-six steps in a sensible order, with a progress bar. Use it every month, and your books stay current instead of piling up.
Income and expense tracker
One list of what came in and what went out. Pick the type and category, and the monthly and category totals fill in.
SaaS MRR and deferred revenue schedule
List your contracts once. The schedule shows what you earn each month, what you bill, and how much sits in deferred revenue.
Vendor statement reconciliation template
Put the vendor's statement next to your own records, and the sheet tells you which lines match, which differ and which are missing on either side.
Estimate template
Give the customer a price before you start. Type the lines, and the total, the valid-until date and the deposit work themselves out.
Receipt template
Give the customer proof of payment and keep a copy for your books. The total and the balance due work themselves out.
Profit and loss template
Twelve months side by side. Type income and expenses, and gross profit, net profit and margin work themselves out for each month and the year.
Small business budget template
Set a monthly budget for each category, type what actually happened, and see each month and the year against the plan.
How to use any of them
