Weekend notary
Notary this weekend
Banks close early and most counters have no notary on Sunday. Book a video session from your phone, 7 am to 9 pm both days, or have a notary come to you on Saturday.
Matthew Coleman, NJ Notary Public and NNA Certified Loan Signing Agent. Cranford, NJ. Fee confirmed before your session. Card charged only after it is complete. We aim to confirm within 15 minutes, 7am to 9pm.
Open times
Online notary: Saturday and Sunday, 7 am to 9 pm
Mobile visits: Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.
Two ways to get it done
Online, from anywhere. You join a video session on your phone or computer, show your ID, and sign on screen. The notarized file comes back the same session. Sessions run 7 am to 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday, with about about an hour of notice.
In person, at your door. A notary comes to your home, the hospital or a parking lot on Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. Mobile visits do not run on Sunday, so on a Sunday the way to get it done is online. If it has to be in person, book the first mobile slot on Monday or a Saturday.
What people need notarized on a weekend
- Power of attorney or health care proxy for a parent in the hospital
- Car sold this weekend: title, bill of sale or lost-title affidavit
- Travel consent letter for a child flying out Monday
- Affidavits and sworn statements due first thing Monday
- Gift letter or loan papers the lender needs before Monday
- Lease, contract or business document that cannot wait
What it costs
An online session starts at $40. A mobile visit starts at $75, plus a $40 weekend fee on Saturday or Sunday. Every fee shows in the booking form before you confirm. New Jersey caps the notarial fee itself; the rest is the session or the trip.
Before you book
Have a government photo ID ready and the document unsigned. For an online session you need a phone or computer with a camera, and the document as a PDF. If the document is going to a court, a county office or a foreign government, ask them whether they accept an electronic notarization. If they need paper with a physical stamp, a mobile visit is the safer choice.
