What is in the report
Profit and loss for the month and the year to date, compared with the same period last year when you have it. Cash in the bank, receivables with the oldest unpaid invoices listed, and bills coming due. A short list of the biggest expense changes, and a plain-language summary of what changed since last month.
Numbers you choose
We agree on a few figures that matter for your business, such as gross margin, days to get paid, or revenue by service line, and track those every month. Our free calculators for margin, break-even and days sales outstanding use the same formulas.
How it fits with bookkeeping
The report comes from reconciled books, so it is part of monthly bookkeeping or an add-on to it. We do not build dashboards on books that are behind. If yours are, start with catch-up and cleanup.
Your software
We set up saved and scheduled reports in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and can connect a reporting tool if your plan and needs justify the cost. Features depend on your plan and change over time, so we check before recommending an upgrade.
Price, scope and limits
The monthly report is $125 a month when added to monthly bookkeeping. It depends on current, reconciled books. The quote form shows your full estimate.
This is bookkeeping and management reporting. It is not an audit, a tax return or financial advice, and it does not replace your CPA. We confirm the price in writing before we start.
Common questions
Do I need monthly bookkeeping to get the report?
The report depends on current, reconciled books. If you keep them current yourself, we can quote the report alone after checking the file.
Can the report be sent to my accountant or lender?
Yes. Tell us who should receive it and we send it on the schedule you choose.
Is this a real-time dashboard?
It is as current as the books. With monthly bookkeeping that means after each month is closed.
