Paperwork from another state? Sign it here in New Jersey
Title transfers, closing packages, affidavits and powers of attorney from other states often land on people who live in New Jersey. In most cases a New Jersey notary can notarize them here. We check the notarial wording, add a New Jersey certificate when the form's doesn't fit, and handle return shipping.

FAQ
Common questions
Will the other state accept a New Jersey notarization?
Most states accept notarizations done properly in another state. Some forms have extra requirements, like witnesses, so check with whoever will receive the document.
The certificate on my form mentions another state. Is that a problem?
Often the notary can complete a certificate that matches New Jersey, or attach one. The notary decides what's allowed, and can't change the document itself.
Can you tell me how to fill out the form?
No. Notaries can't give legal advice or tell you what to write. Ask whoever prepared or will receive the document.
