Arkansas Notary Starter Kit: 25-Question Exam, $7,500 Bond, County Oath Filing, 10-Year Term and eNotary
Arkansas gives you a 10-year commission, but only after you pass a 25-question exam and file with two offices: the Secretary of State and your county's circuit clerk. This kit follows the 2025 Handbook step by step.

Who it is for
Arkansas residents and border-state workers taking the Secretary of State's exam, notaries filing their oath at the circuit clerk, and Arkansas notaries adding an electronic commission.
Not the right fit if
You aren't applying in Arkansas: get your own state's kit. It doesn't replace the required exam.
Why it is different
- Built on the Secretary of State's 2025 Handbook.
- Flags where older Secretary of State pages disagree with the Handbook, so you can ask before you rely on them.
- Explains the two-office filing that trips up new Arkansas notaries.
What is inside
- Exam, bond and the circuit clerk. Who qualifies, the 20-of-25 exam, the $7,500 bond, the online application and the county oath filing.
- Reasonable fees, ID judgment and county seal. What the 2025 Handbook says on fees and ID, the suggested journal, and what your seal must and must not show.
- eNotary, remote acts and the notario notice. The electronic amendment, provider list and 2-year refresher, plus the English and Spanish notice.
- Account-to-county checklist. Bond, online account, exam, application, county filing and the certificate you send back.
- Arkansas fee worksheet. The $20 application filled in, with blanks for exam, county fee, bond premium and seal.
- Handbook-style log pages. Pages with the entries the Handbook suggests, including itemized fees.
