Who it is for
First-time Vermont applicants who applied on or after February 1, 2021 and must pass OPR's exam, and commissioned notaries checking renewal and continuing education rules.
Not the right fit if
You're a Vermont attorney in good standing or a judiciary-related employee, both exempt from the exam, or you're applying outside Vermont.
Why it is different
- Written from 26 V.S.A. chapter 103, the OPR Administrative Rules effective February 26, 2025 and OPR's Notary FAQs.
- Describes the May 2026 exam: multiple choice and true/false, and you upload only the answer sheet.
- Drills renewal details: the January 31 odd-year expiration, 1 hour of CE (2 with the remote endorsement) and the 48-hour stamp report.
What is inside
- Study guide. Exam and application rules, two-year commissions ending January 31 of odd years, continuing education, authority and acts, ID and refusal, certificates and stamps, prohibitions and discipline, and remote acts.
- 100 practice questions with answers. 100 questions; the key explains each answer in a line and points to the V.S.A. section or Administrative Rule to look up.
- Timed practice exam. Vermont's questions as a timed, offline browser test that saves your scores.
