FAQ
About this calculator
What does CAGR tell me?
The constant yearly rate that would produce the same total growth. Real growth is rarely smooth, so CAGR is a summary, not a prediction.
Can CAGR be negative?
Yes. If the ending value is lower than the starting value the rate is negative, which means a yearly decline.
Why do I need positive values?
The formula uses a ratio and a root, which need positive numbers.
Is anything saved?
No. The math runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us.
Is this tax or financial advice?
No. It is a calculator for general information. Check the numbers against your own records, and ask an accountant before you act on them.
