Bookkeeping project
Books health report
Not sure if your books are right? We look through them and give you a written report: what is sound, what is wrong, how much it matters, and what to fix first.
For owners who suspect something is off, or who want a second set of eyes before a lender, a buyer or tax time.
What you get
- A review of each bank, card and loan account for reconciliation status and unexplained differences
- A count and total of uncategorized, suspense and unexplained balances
- Checks on loans, owner activity, payroll liabilities and sales tax accounts for common misposting
- A review of income against your invoices and deposits, to see whether sales are complete
- A ranked list of problems, with the effect each one has on your reports
- A plain-language summary you can hand to your CPA
- A recommendation for next steps: fix it yourself, a catch-up, or ongoing bookkeeping
What we need from you
- Read-only access to your accounting software, or exported reports we agree on
- Statements for each account in the period
- A short note on what worries you
- No passwords to banks. We never ask for them.
How it works
- Agree the period and the questions. Which months, which accounts, and what you most want answered.
- Get the records. Read-only access or exports, and the statements.
- Run the checks. Reconciliation, categories, liabilities, income and unusual entries.
- Write the report. Findings in order of importance, with plain explanations.
- Walk through it. A conversation to answer questions and decide what to do next.
What this is not
- This is a review of your records for bookkeeping quality. It is not an audit or a review engagement under professional standards.
- We do not give tax or legal advice or sign the report as a CPA would.
- We do not change your books unless you ask for the fix as a separate scope.
- A clean report does not mean your tax filings are correct. Your CPA handles that.
Price
Starting at $129 one time.
Your written scope sets the final price before any work starts. What moves it: how many accounts and months are reviewed. If we are not the right fit, we say so.

Questions
Is this an audit?
No. An audit is a CPA engagement under professional standards. This is a bookkeeping review that tells you where your records stand.
Do you fix the problems?
Only if you ask, and as a separate written scope. The report lets you decide with the facts in hand.
Do I need to give you my bank login?
No. We use read-only access to your accounting software or exports, and statements you provide.
How is this different from the free books check?
The free check is a short self-assessment. The report is a human review of your own books with specific findings.
MCC Solutions is not a CPA firm or a law firm. These projects organize and present your own numbers. They are not audits, reviews, tax returns, valuation opinions, or credit, tax or legal advice, and we cannot promise that a lender, buyer or investor will accept them. Rules and requirements change, so confirm anything that matters with the party involved and your CPA.
