Bookkeeping service levels
Bookkeeping service levels: what each one includes
Pick the level that matches what you need from your numbers. Each one builds on the one before, and you can move between them. You get a written scope and price before any work begins.
Level 1
Monthly bookkeeping
From $450 a month
Fits: Owners who want accurate books and a clean set of reports each month.
What it includes
- Reconcile bank, card and payment processor accounts to statements
- Categorize transactions and clear anything left uncategorized
- Deliver a profit and loss and balance sheet each month
- Send you a short list of questions about anything unclear
- Keep the books ready for your CPA at year end
What we need from you
- Access to your accounting software, under your own login
- Bank and card statements
- Answers to our questions each month
Level 2
Bookkeeping with a monthly review
From $575 a month
Fits: Owners who want to understand the numbers, not just receive them.
What it includes
- Everything in level 1
- A review of what changed from last month and why
- Budget against actual, once you have a budget
- Simple measures that fit your business, such as margin by service or by channel
- A short call to go through the reports and decide what to do next
What we need from you
- The items in level 1
- A little time each month for the call
- Your goals, so the review looks at what matters to you
Level 3
Fractional CFO-style support
From $1,000 a month
Fits: Owners making bigger decisions: pricing, hiring, borrowing, a new location or a sale.
What it includes
- Everything in level 2
- A cash flow forecast and what-if scenarios
- Pricing and margin analysis
- A summary pack for a lender or partner, built from your books
- A regular planning conversation about the next quarter
What we need from you
- The items in level 2
- Willingness to share plans and goals
- A CPA for tax, since this level is planning, not tax advice
Add-ons
- Catch-up and cleanup: When months are behind or the books need fixing before they can be used.
- Year-end package: Books closed and organized for your CPA at the end of the year.
- Payroll support: Payroll processing and the filings that go with it, where we offer it.
- Sales tax records: Records and reports to support the sales tax you file.
- 1099 preparation: Contractor totals from your books and 1099-NEC forms prepared for your review.
- New LLC setup: Filing walk-through, EIN, notarized operating agreement and books started.
How to choose
- If your books are behind, start with catch-up, then level 1.
- If you have clean books but never look at them, level 2 is usually the next step.
- If you are about to hire, borrow, raise prices or sell, level 3 gives you numbers to decide with.
- If you are unsure, take the free books check and we will tell you plainly where you stand.
Bigger jobs with a defined result: bookkeeping projects (lender-ready packages, forecasts, sale-ready books, accounting setup).

Questions
How much does each level cost?
Each level shows its starting monthly price above. Your written scope sets the final price before any work begins. It depends on the number of accounts, the volume of transactions and the state of your books. Catch-up work for books that are behind is quoted separately.
Do you prepare tax returns?
No. MCC Solutions is not a CPA firm. We keep the books accurate so your CPA or enrolled agent can prepare your return faster.
Can I change levels later?
Yes, in writing. Many owners start at level 1 and add the review once their books are in good shape.
Do you work in my software?
Yes. The books stay in your own accounting software under your own login, so you keep control and can leave at any time with everything intact.
Is level 3 the same as hiring a CFO?
No. It is planning and analysis support built on your books. It is not a full-time executive, an audit or tax advice.
MCC Solutions is not a CPA firm or a law firm. We do not prepare tax returns, perform audits or give tax or legal advice. Rules, fees and deadlines change, so confirm anything that matters with the agency involved or your CPA.
