Bookkeeping project
Sale-ready books
Buyers and investors look closely at the numbers, and mistakes cost money. We get your books reconciled, consistent and documented before they look.
For owners planning to sell, take on a partner or raise money.
What you get
- Several years of books reconciled and consistent, with prior errors corrected and explained
- Monthly and annual statements in a standard layout
- A working capital schedule showing receivables, payables and inventory over time
- A schedule of unusual or one-time items and owner-related costs, with support, for your CPA or broker to review
- Revenue and customer summaries, such as concentration and recurring against one-time
- A debt and obligations schedule, including leases and deferred revenue
- An index of support documents: contracts, statements and invoices, organized by topic
What we need from you
- Access to your books and past years' statements
- Tax returns and your CPA's contact
- The names of your broker, attorney or buyer's contact if you have them
- Time to answer questions about past years
How it works
- Scope the years and the goal. How far back, and who will read it?
- Reconcile and correct. Every account, every year in scope.
- Build the schedules. Working capital, unusual items, customers and obligations.
- Organize support. An index so a buyer's questions are answered quickly.
- Review with your advisors. Your CPA and attorney check what is theirs to check.
What this is not
- We do not value your business or set an asking price.
- This is not an audit, a review or a quality of earnings report.
- We do not decide which adjustments a buyer will accept.
- We do not give tax or legal advice or negotiate for you.
Price
Starting at $4,000 one time.
Your written scope sets the final price before any work starts. What moves it: how many years back and how many accounts. If we are not the right fit, we say so.

Questions
Will this raise my sale price?
We cannot promise that. Clean, documented books make diligence faster and reduce surprises, and buyers decide what they accept.
Do you value the business?
No. A business broker, appraiser or your CPA does that. Our Business Valuation Forecaster is a planning tool, not an opinion of value.
How far back do you go?
As far as your goal needs. Buyers commonly ask for several years. We scope it with you.
Who should read the owner-related cost schedule?
Your CPA and broker. They decide what is appropriate to present.
MCC Solutions is not a CPA firm or a law firm. These projects organize and present your own numbers. They are not audits, reviews, tax returns, valuation opinions, or credit, tax or legal advice, and we cannot promise that a lender, buyer or investor will accept them. Rules and requirements change, so confirm anything that matters with the party involved and your CPA.
