A notary who comes to your clients, wherever they are
When a client in a hospital bed or a nursing home needs a power of attorney or advance directive signed, families lose days finding a notary. Send them to one who comes to the bedside, and give them a plain checklist for everything else.
What your clients get
- A commissioned New Jersey notary at the hospital, rehab center, nursing home, assisted living or home
- Powers of attorney, advance directives, will affidavits and other papers your office prepares
- Two witnesses arranged when a document needs them, so facility staff aren't asked
- Evenings and weekends when a discharge or a decline won't wait
- A free caregiver checklist families can read on their phone
How we work with your office
We notarize the documents you or the family bring. We don't draft documents, give legal advice or judge capacity. If a signer clearly doesn't understand what they're signing, we stop and call you. Your office can send requests directly, and we confirm the time and what ID the signer has before we go.
For social workers and discharge planners
Families ask you who to call. Hand them the caregiver checklist or our hospital visit page. We don't pay or accept referral fees, so there's nothing to disclose.
Questions
Can you come today?
Often, depending on the location and time. Send the facility, the room and the signer's ID situation and we confirm quickly.
What if the signer's ID is expired?
Tell us before the visit. New Jersey rules allow some alternatives, and we'll say what will work before anyone drives over.
Do you decide whether someone has capacity?
No. That's for the attorney and the medical team. A notary checks identity and willingness and declines if the signer clearly doesn't understand.
Do you pay for referrals?
No. We don't pay or accept referral fees.
