DPO = average accounts payable divided by cost of goods sold, times 365. Average payables is (beginning + ending) divided by 2.

About this calculator
Is a higher DPO better?
A higher number means you hold on to cash longer, but paying too slowly can hurt supplier relationships and cost you early-payment discounts. Compare with your suppliers' terms.
What do I use if I have no cost of goods sold?
Use total purchases or operating costs paid on account, and be consistent from year to year.
How is it different from DSO?
DSO measures how fast customers pay you. DPO measures how fast you pay suppliers.
Is anything saved?
