Signing agents for closings outside New Jersey
For title and escrow teams with borrowers in other states: send the signing details and we place it with a signing agent commissioned in the borrower's state, with the same desk you use for New Jersey files.
How it works
- Send the file details. State, ZIP code and signing address, loan type, number of borrowers, the time window and how the documents will arrive.
- We place it with a local agent. The agent must hold a commission in the state where the borrowers sign, and live within their own travel range of the address.
- Approve the fee. Outside New Jersey the fee is quoted for each file. Nothing starts until you approve it.
- Confirmed when an agent accepts. You get an email naming the assignment once an agent accepts. Before that, the signing is not confirmed.
Price: quote-based outside New Jersey. We confirm the price before any work starts. In New Jersey? Book a New Jersey appointment on the calendar instead.
Also outside New Jersey: Mobile notary in other states · Process serving · Court filing · Records retrieval
Before you send
- We confirm the price, and the signing agent, before any work starts. The signing isn't confirmed until an agent is assigned.
- Send the signing instructions and the return shipping details with the documents.
- Every borrower needs a current government photo ID.
- The agent can't explain loan terms or give legal or financial advice. Questions about the loan go to the lender or title company.

Questions
Which loan types do you take?
Refinances, purchases for buyers or sellers, HELOCs and reverse mortgages. Tell us anything unusual about the package on the request.
Who prints the documents?
Choose on the form: emailed for the agent to print, or shipped to the agent or the borrower. Include return shipping instructions with the package.
What if nobody covers the borrower's area?
The request goes to the owner, who finds an agent by hand. You hear from us either way, and the signing isn't confirmed until an agent accepts.
Will the agent explain the loan to the borrower?
No. Signing agents can't explain loan terms or give legal or financial advice. Borrower questions go to the lender or title company.
