When we're open

New Year's falls on Friday, January 1, 2027. Online sessions run 7 am to 9 pm on regular days, and the booking form shows exactly which times are open around the holiday. A $75 holiday fee can apply on the holiday itself; the desk confirms it before your appointment.

Mobile visits follow the regular schedule on the days around the holiday. Book early: the days before New Year's fill first.

What people get notarized around New Year's

Contracts that start January 1

Leases, service agreements and partnership papers often take effect on the first of the year, and the signatures are needed in the last days of December. Small business owners also use the quiet week between the holidays to sign operating agreements, resolutions and loan documents.

Read the dates in the document before you sign. A contract dated January 1 can usually be signed earlier; the notary records the date you actually sign, not the date the contract starts. If anything about the dates is unclear, ask your attorney before the signing.

Price

An online session starts at $40. A mobile visit starts at $75, plus a $40 weekend fee on Saturday or Sunday. Every fee shows in the booking form before you confirm. New Jersey caps the notarial fee itself; the rest is the session or the trip.
