How it works
Density = times the keyword appears x words in the keyword, divided by total words. Matching ignores case and punctuation.
FAQ
About this calculator
What keyword density should I aim for?
There is no target that search engines publish. Write naturally and for the reader, and use the check to spot overuse.
Is my text saved?
No. Counting happens in your browser and your text is never sent to us.
Does it count variations?
No. It matches the exact words you enter, so "notaries" will not count for "notary".
Is keyword stuffing a problem?
Search guidelines discourage repeating a word unnaturally just to rank. If a phrase appears in nearly every sentence, rewrite for a human reader.
Where should the main keyword appear?
Naturally in the title, the main heading and the first paragraph, and in the body wherever it fits, without forcing it.
Is anything saved?
No. The math runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us.
