How it works
How it works
The builder adds utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign (plus term and content if you fill them in) to the end of your link. Values are lower-cased and encoded so the link works everywhere.
FAQ
About this calculator
What are UTM parameters?
Short tags added to the end of a link. Analytics tools such as Google Analytics read them to report which source, medium and campaign sent each visit.
Should I tag internal links?
No. Use UTM tags on links from outside your site, such as emails, social posts and ads. Tagging links inside your own site can overwrite where a visit really came from.
Do the tags change SEO?
They do not change rankings, but tagged links can show up as separate URLs in reports, so use consistent names.
Is anything saved?
No. The math runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us.
