Sales tax records
Sales tax records that don't add up
Whether you sell goods, services, online or in person, tax collected has to be tracked separately and reconciled to what was reported and paid. If it wasn't, we rebuild it from your sales records.
What we rebuild
Sales by period and type, tax collected, tax reported and tax paid, reconciled so you can see where they differ.
What we can't decide
Whether something is taxable, whether you have an obligation in another state, and how to resolve unreported periods are questions for the New Jersey Division of Taxation and your tax professional. We provide the numbers.
Marketplace sales
If a marketplace collects tax for you, those sales need to be shown separately from sales you collect on yourself. We handle that split in the books.
